RATES AND SERVICES
Dar Bennani is the holiday home of the three owners and is regularly used by their families and friends. We rent the house out to recover some of the running costs and are licensed to do so. The house has a fire safety certificate as required by Moroccan law.
The house is generally available 12 months of the year provided the owners are not using it. Prices are for the entire house; please get in touch to enquire about renting individual rooms.
In the high season (April-June, September-November, and Christmas and New Year) our nightly rate is €200 plus €20 per person over the first two.
In low season (January-March, July, August, and the first half of December) the rate is €175 plus €15 per person over the first two. None of our rates have changed for several years.
We offer a 15% discount for bookings of 7 days or more.
Additional services
We will provide you in advance of your visit with some fairly extensive briefing notes on using the house, which will include the up-to-date costs of the services listed below.
Breakfast fresh from the Medina
Breakfast - on a daily basis, or as a one-off - can be arranged at a modest charge, downstairs or on the roof. But you will also find in the kitchen oranges for squeezing, coffee, tea and eggs for you to use as you wish; fresh bread can be bought round the corner.
Traditional Moroccan dinner
It is usually possible to arrange for dinner to be prepared for you at the house; Latifah is an excellent cook, with a repertoire of traditional Moroccan dishes. If you would like dinner on arrival, please let us know in advance; otherwise 24 hours notice is usually needed.
Drinks and groceries shopping
We stock the fridge at the beginning of your stay with some basic groceries, including beer and water. If you want to restock during your stay, Abdelilah can usually do this for you at reasonable rates. Grocery shopping in the Medina can be rather fun, and Abdelilah can advise on where to go. Wine and spirits, which we unfortunately can't provide, are available from the local supermarket; many guests make airport purchases on their way to Fez.
